How I find myself at LOUCA 2023
Earlier in July/August, I submitted my proposal to the LibreOffice and Ubuntu conference -- LOUCA 2023.
I planned to present something that I found unexpectedly when doing my job: how 'programmable' LibreOffice really is.
It's fortunately got accepted and I secured myself a spot as a speaker, whoa!
So I went to the conference, and that's 8 hours train from my hometown.
Over there is just... amazing. An open source conference, no, this is two open source conference merged together.
There's people from Ubuntu Canonical, people from LibreOffice, and people that's interested in both of those.
There's no way this won't be interesting.
This is also an event to reunite with my pals from work, as well as a chance to make a new pal... anyway, this is mainly an event for me to speak my 'programmable' LibreOffice topic.
My session starts at the first day, at around 13.45. I'm quite nervous since the previous speaker has a similar topic with mine.
I don't know if I managed to convey it well, but someone actually told me afterwards that my presentation had 'enlightened him'.
Some questions made me nervous, but fortunately I could give a satisfying answer.
Once my talk is over, I'm fully ready to enjoy the whole event.
Some guy just standing there presenting his terminal, explaining stuffs about BPF that I don't quite catch what's that tcpdump is about... Or maybe that's just because I was late and just sat there without any context.
Seriously though, what an amazing experience.
While this is my first time writing a report about a conference trip, I believe I have told you enough.
It's not really my style to write too much text, so that's it, hope that got you interested in conferences!
